 On behalf of all the members of our club, and especially those of us who competed for the Van Nostrand Cup last weekend, I want to extend our warmest thanks to you and every member of the North Shrewsbury Ice Boat & Yacht Club, for the hospitality and friendship you showed us. This interest of all of ours in old stern steerers will only grow stronger as we continue our friendship in future years. You and your club have inspired us in many important ways, the least important of which may very well be competition. I hope you don't mind if we imitate your fine example.

We would like to welcome you at any time of year, to join us for a sail, or to share a cold one on the shores of the Hudson. Join us as your schedule allows, for we are putting boats out on a five-mile long ice sheet at Rhinecliff this weekend.
